A Class 6 student was seriously injured after a speeding school bus allegedly hit and ran over her in Ludhiana. The girl came under the wheels of the bus and sustained critical injuries. She has been admitted to a hospital, where her condition remains serious. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
The accident took place on Tuesday, October 6. The victim, identified as Siya, is a Class 6 student at a government school in Threeke village. She was returning home from school on her bicycle when the incident occurred.
According to the CCTV footage, the girl can be seen cycling along the roadside when a BCM School bus approaching from behind suddenly hit her. The impact knocked her down, causing her to come under the bus.
Following the accident, the bloodied and seriously injured girl was rushed to Raghunath Hospital in Aggar Nagar for treatment. Her mother also works as a sanitation worker at the same hospital.
Doctors treating the girl said her condition remains critical and that she is currently undergoing treatment. The sudden accident has left the girl's family in deep shock.
