Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan conducted a surprise inspection of the Haryana MLA Hostel located in Sector 3 here on Tuesday. During this, he went to the hostel rooms and took stock of the facilities being provided there. The Speaker inspected the hostel canteen, kitchen and rooms. After this, he also went to the gymnasium and dormitory. The Speaker did not seem satisfied with the arrangements at the canteen of the Haryana Hospitality Department.
He also inspected the Public Works Department office built behind the MLA hostel and the area around it. During this, he inquired about the food, accommodation and other arrangements for the security personnel deployed in the premises and expressed dissatisfaction over it. During the inspection, the police barracks were found in a dilapidated condition and the food items were also in disarray. Taking serious cognizance of this, the Speaker of the Assembly directed the officers of all the departments that all the arrangements for the jawans should be made properly and the food items should be prepared in a hygienic way.
