Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan paid tribute to revolutionary freedom fighter Shaheed-E- Azam S. Bhagat Singh on his 118th Birth Anniversary. He said that Bhagat Singh sacrificed his life to liberate India from the clutches of British rule.
He fought a fierce movement against British rule so that people of India could get freedom from the cruel atrocities being committed by the British. Bhagat Singh contribution towards India's freedom struggle was unparalleled, Speaker said.
Sandhwan highlighted that his contribution towards India's freedom struggle will remain indelible in history and the country salutes his martyrdom.His bravery and courage can't be forgotten. We should follow their ideals and path shown by him.
Speaker stressed that Shaheed Bhagat Singh accomplished several great deeds at young age. He inherited the wisdom from his family. He was very fond of reading books and thereby books played a great role in shaping his life. In fact, books were his food.
