The State Level Workshop on Drink from Tap (DFT) under AMRUT 2.0 has been organized by Jal Shakti Vibhag Himachal Pradesh and Urban Development Department Himachal Pradesh in collaboration with MoHUA on today at Jal Shakti Bhawan Tutikandi Shimla.
The representatives from WATCO Orissa who are pioneer in implementation on DFT in the country were invited to share their experience. The representatives from WATCO Orissa Er. Pradipta Kumar Swain, CEO and Er. Sarat Chandra Mishra, COO visited the water supply scheme of Arki Town on dated 29.07.2024 and deliberated their experiences in State Level Workshop.
The workshop was inaugurated by Gopal Chand, IAS, Director (UD Deptt.) HP. The detailed presentations were given by the WATCO Orissa team to Engineers/officers executing the DfT projects under AMRUT 2.0 and Self Help Groups. The experience of Orissa was shared in detail by representatives of WATCO and concept of Drink from Tap, its technical aspects , Non- revenue water reduction and role of Self Help Groups were discussed in detail.
The members of State Task Force also attended the Workshop. GIS expert from AGISEC also attended the workshop for enabling GIS modeling of water supply projects. \
