A suspected drone was found at the playground of a government school in Haripur village of Adampur, triggering concern among local residents and prompting a police investigation.
According to village sarpanch Nirmal Ram, children were playing in the school ground on Tuesday evening when the drone suddenly fell near them. The children picked up the device and brought it to village authorities, who immediately informed Adampur police.
Following the information, the police administration swung into action. DSP Rajeev Kumar, along with his team, reached the spot to assess the situation. The drone was taken into police custody and an investigation has been launched to determine its origin and purpose.
Police officials have urged residents not to panic, assuring them that the matter is being thoroughly examined.
Villagers, including the sarpanch, said they were initially frightened after seeing the drone, fearing it could pose a threat.
Residents have demanded a detailed investigation to identify who owns the drone and where it came from.
