Suzuki e-SkySuzuki has launched its smallest electric car, the Suzuki e-Sky, in Japan. The model was previously showcased as the Vision e-Sky concept and has now entered production for the Japanese market.
Measuring less than four metres in length, the Suzuki e-Sky is designed for easy manoeuvrability in city traffic and on narrow roads. The electric car gets a distinctive boxy design along with a range of modern features.
Key features include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail-lights, a roof spoiler, parking sensors, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, ADAS, a 360-degree camera, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology and a digital instrument cluster.
Suzuki has not yet revealed detailed specifications such as the battery capacity, electric motor output or charging speed. However, the company claims that the e-Sky can deliver a range of up to 310 km on a single charge.
According to media reports, the Suzuki e-Sky has been launched in Japan at a starting price of around 1.55 million Japanese yen, which is approximately ₹9.5 lakh when converted to Indian currency. Sales are expected to begin from November 16.
For now, the Suzuki e-Sky is available only in the Japanese market. Suzuki has not officially confirmed whether the electric car will be launched in India. Electric car launched in Japan
