Chandigarh, September 2
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) completely rejected the idea of One Nation One Election. The BJP government has formed a committee for One Nation One Election but the AAP said that it is not constitutionally feasible, legal or practically possible in India to implement One Nation One Election rule.
Addressing the media from the party office in Chandigarh, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that India is a union of different states, people of different religions, castes, communities and languages living in our country. But BJP's idea is One Nation One Election, One Nation One Party, One Nation One Religion and One Nation One Language which is against the essence of our country, constitution and democracy.
Kang said that the BJP is scared of the INDIA bloc and its strength. He added that irrespective of our ideological differences, our parties are coming together at a common platform i.e. INDIA to represent 140 crore people and to save our nation and democracy. He said that the elections of five major states, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram are approaching but the BJP is losing its ground. The politics of polarization and hatred is failing and losing miserably. That is Modi is unnerved and trying to affect the electoral process.
Malvinder Kang fiercely attacked the Shiromani Akali Dal Badal for supporting One Nation One Election. Kang said that the Akali Dal Badal does not care for the interest of the nation, people, punjab or religion, they are only driven by their political, financial and personal interests. He added that Akali Dal is supporting this idea at the expense of the rights of states and our federal structure which means this Akali Dal Badal has no regard for the Act of Shri Anandpur Sahib.
