A large number of devotees gathered at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib on Thursday to celebrate the sacred Prakash Gurpurab of the Eighth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji. Besides Punjab, devotees from different parts of India and abroad arrived in Amritsar to pay obeisance at the holy shrine.
Pilgrims took a dip in the sacred Amrit Sarovar and listened to Gurbani Kirtan, seeking the blessings of the Guru. The entire Sri Darbar Sahib complex remained immersed in a deeply spiritual atmosphere throughout the day.
Devotees bowed before the Guru and offered prayers for the well-being of their families, peace and prosperity for humanity, Chardi Kala, and Sarbat da Bhala. The continuous recitation of Gurbani and chants of Waheguru created a serene and devotional environment across the shrine complex.
Sri Harmandir Sahib Manager Gurinder Singh Devidaspura extended greetings to the Sikh community on the occasion of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji’s Prakash Gurpurab.
He said that despite his young age, Guru Sahib set an unparalleled example of service to humanity, compassion, humility, and selfless devotion, which continues to inspire people across the world.
He urged the sangat to adopt the teachings of Guru Sahib in their daily lives and come forward to serve the needy and underprivileged sections of society.
