U.S President Donald Trump has announced that any potential attacks or bombings against Iran have been temporarily halted for two weeks. Trump described this as a “mutual ceasefire,” meaning that during this period, neither the U.S. will strike nor will Iran take any aggressive action.
However, a major condition has been set for this agreement: Iran must immediately, fully, and safely reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s National Security Council negotiations with U.S will based on a ten-point plan
On Wednesday, Iran’s National Security Council also declared the two-week ceasefire with the United States. Meanwhile, the council stated that negotiations with the U.S. will begin on April 10 in Islamabad, based on a ten-point plan. The Persian-language version of this plan includes approval for nuclear program enrichment. However, the English translation provided by Iranian diplomats to journalists does not mention this, and it is unclear why this part is missing from the English version.
