A case of two minor girls going missing under suspicious circumstances has been reported from the Jamalpur area of Ludhiana, raising fears of abduction.

According to the complaint, the two girls had left their home to purchase birthday items but never returned. Family members have since expressed concern that they may have been abducted.

The missing girls have been identified as 13-year-old Ashika Kumari and her 16-year-old friend Khushi Kumari.

In her statement to the police, complainant Jyoti Devi said that on May 26, 2026, her daughter Ashika Kumari left home with her friend Khushi Kumari to buy birthday supplies from Tajpur Road. However, both teenagers did not return home even after a considerable delay.

The family initially searched for the girls at relatives’ homes and nearby areas but found no trace of them. Following unsuccessful searches, the matter was reported to the police.

The Jamalpur police have registered a case against an unknown person and initiated an investigation. The family has alleged that an unidentified individual may have taken the girls away with wrongful intent and is hiding them.
