Following the conclusion of a three-day visit to China by former US President Donald Trump, an unusual and striking incident has come to light involving the American delegation’s return preparations.

According to reports, citing ground sources, the US team discarded or destroyed all gifts and electronic items received from Chinese hosts before boarding Air Force One, amid heightened fears of data theft and espionage.

The items reportedly included special burner phones provided for White House staff use, delegation pins, identification credentials, and several other diplomatic souvenirs. Instead of carrying them back to the United States, the delegation allegedly gathered all such materials and either disposed of them in trash bins or ensured their complete destruction just before departure.

The move is being linked to strict security protocols, with concerns that electronic or gifted devices could potentially be compromised or used for surveillance.

The incident was also reportedly confirmed on social media platform X by New York Post journalist Emily Goodin, who stated that no China-related items were permitted onboard the aircraft.

The development has drawn attention for its unusual nature, highlighting the growing sensitivity around cybersecurity and diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
