Harry Boxer, an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and one of Haryana’s most-wanted gangsters, has been detained in the United States. His real name is reportedly Harichand Jat. According to sources, US authorities detained him in California based on inputs shared by the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Haryana Police Special Task Force (STF).
Sources said Harry Boxer was playing a key role in operating the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s extortion network from abroad. He hails from the Bansur area of Rajasthan’s Kotputli-Behror district. He earned the nickname 'Boxer' after learning boxing in Jaipur.
Before entering the world of crime, he reportedly prepared for competitive examinations and also worked as a boxing coach. Several criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, assault, firing incidents and threats to businessmen for extortion, have been registered against him. His name has surfaced in multiple cases across Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
Harry Boxer also came into the spotlight in connection with the firing incident at comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada. He has also been accused of issuing threats to filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actors Ranveer Singh and Tusshar Kapoor.
According to sources, Boxer had claimed responsibility for the firing outside Rohit Shetty’s residence. Subsequently, threats were issued to Bollywood personalities through social media posts and audio messages.
Last month, the Delhi Police also linked Harry Boxer to an arms supply network allegedly involved in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff.
According to Delhi Police Special Cell DCP Praveen Tripathi, four arrested accused were associated with the Randeep Malik gang and were operating on the instructions of Anil Pandit through encrypted communication channels and social media platforms.
Police said both Anil Pandit and Harry Boxer were part of the Randeep Malik gang. Further details regarding Harry Boxer’s detention and the possible next steps in the case are awaited.
