India’s young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has made a massive impact in the latest ICC T20 International rankings, climbing 230 places to enter the top 50 for the first time. Sooryavanshi is now ranked 48th in the world with 536 rating points after his outstanding performances against Zimbabwe.

The left-handed batter scored 151 runs in three matches during the recently concluded T20 series in Zimbabwe, averaging 50.33. His match-winning contributions earned him the Player of the Series award and triggered one of the biggest jumps in this week’s rankings update.

Gill back at ODI No.1

In another major boost for Indian cricket, Shubman Gill has regained the No.1 position in the ICC ODI batting rankings. The change came after New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell missed recent matches in the West Indies-New Zealand series, allowing Gill to reclaim the top spot.

India now have three batters in the ODI top four, with Virat Kohli ranked second and Rohit Sharma fourth, underlining the team’s dominance in the 50-over format.

Bumrah remains Test king

India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah continues to hold the No.1 position in the ICC Test bowling rankings, maintaining his status as the world’s leading red-ball bowler.

Ishan Kishan stays T20 No.1 despite slight drop

In the T20 batting rankings, Ishan Kishan remains the world’s No.1 batter with 910 rating points, well ahead of Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan (848 points).

Kishan had briefly reached 916 points after the second T20 against Zimbabwe, surpassing the career-best T20 ratings achieved by Virat Kohli (909) and Suryakumar Yadav (912). However, his score of 29 runs in the third T20 resulted in a six-point drop, leaving him on 910 in the latest update.

Varun the only Indian in T20 bowling top 10

India have just one representative in the top 10 of the ICC T20 bowling rankings, with Varun Chakravarthy holding a place among the elite bowlers.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to lead the T20 bowling chart with 753 rating points, followed by Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed (736) and England’s Adil Rashid (710).

Rashid also leads ODI bowling rankings

Rashid Khan has also retained the No.1 position in the ICC ODI bowling rankings. Meanwhile, Namibia spinner Bernard Scholtz moved up five places to seventh after impressive performances against Nepal and the Netherlands in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series.

The latest ICC rankings were released on Wednesday, as the governing body updates player ratings once every week.
