Indian batting legend Virat Kohli has revealed that the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup will be his final appearance at the tournament, stating that he is ready to give everything to help India lift the coveted trophy.
Speaking about his future plans, Kohli said his objective is crystal clear — to win the World Cup. The 37-year-old emphasized that he wants to give his 100 percent on the field and leave no stone unturned in India's quest for glory.
Kohli is currently focusing solely on One-Day Internationals after retiring from T20 Internationals in 2024 and Test cricket in 2025. One of the greatest batters in the history of the game, he has already featured in four ODI World Cups — 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023.
The former India captain also holds the record for the most centuries in ODI cricket, with 54 hundreds to his name.
The 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, and Kohli hopes to end his illustrious international career on a high by helping India secure the title.
