A major road accident took place in Haryana's Mahendragarh district on Friday morning when a Volvo tourist bus carrying around 40 passengers crashed into a truck loaded with iron angles. The impact was so severe that the iron rods tore through the front portion of the bus, killing the driver and conductor on the spot and leaving 16 others seriously injured.

The accident occurred near the Buchawas Cut on National Highway 152-D. According to eyewitnesses, the truck was parked on the roadside when the bus rammed into it from behind. A passenger alleged that the bus conductor was driving after the driver reportedly became sleepy, though officials have not yet confirmed the claim.

Police personnel and local residents rushed to the scene and rescued passengers by breaking open the bus windows. The injured were shifted to Mahendragarh Civil Hospital, where several have been admitted to the Critical Care Unit. At least 11 of the 16 injured were reported to be in serious condition on Friday morning.

The bus was returning from Manali to Jaipur, and most of the passengers were residents of Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan.

The deceased have been identified as driver Somveer (30) and conductor Dilkhush (31), both residents of Jaipur. Among the injured are Nalin Jain, Prateek, Surendra, Subhash Chandra, Ashish, Yashasvi, Wasim Akhtar, Abhimanyu, Ashutosh, Avinash, Gaurav, Priyanka, and Prachi from Jaipur, along with Sohan from Chandigarh, Rohit from Dausa (Rajasthan), and Khushi from Paonta Sahib.
