Businessman Rakesh Trehan, popularly known as “Raja Di King,” is back in the spotlight with another giveaway initiative. After announcing a “petrol langar” in Chandigarh, Trehan is now planning to distribute free iPhones to women through a lucky draw.

Under the initiative, a WhatsApp group is being created for women and young women aged 18 years and above. Those interested in participating will have to call a mobile number issued by Trehan. Their numbers will then be added to the WhatsApp group.

After joining the group, participants will be asked to write “Jai Mata Di” in the group. The process of adding women to the group is currently underway.

Trehan said the date for the lucky draw and the total number of iPhones to be distributed will be announced later. According to the plan, the WhatsApp group will be opened at the time of the draw.

The winner will be selected by scrolling through the list of members on a mobile phone. The scrolling will stop at a participant’s name and mobile number, and the woman whose details appear on the screen will be declared the winner and given an iPhone.

Trehan said there would be no discrimination in the selection process. He is planning to conduct around five draws every day, although the exact number of iPhones and the date for starting the draws have not yet been finalised.

The announcement comes after Trehan’s earlier “petrol langar” initiative, under which he claimed to have distributed coupons. He had also previously organised a “langar” involving ₹500 currency notes in Chandigarh.

Women interested in participating in the iPhone giveaway will have to contact the number issued by Trehan and complete the process to join the WhatsApp group.
