Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to newly selected candidates for the Agriculture Department and Mandi Parishad at a ceremony held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow.

A total of 3,446 Technical Assistant (Group-C) posts in the Agriculture Department and 126 Mandi Secretary posts in the Mandi Parishad were recently filled through the recruitment process. Selected candidates from both departments received their appointment letters at the event.

Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh, public representatives and senior officials were also present.

Congratulating the newly appointed employees, CM Yogi said conducting recruitment transparently while following reservation rules remains a major challenge, but the state's recruitment boards have successfully carried out the process.

He said the BJP government has provided more than 9.3 lakh government jobs in the past nine and a half years, claiming that no recruitment process under the government has faced questions over irregularities.

Taking a swipe at previous governments, Yogi alleged that before 2017, recruitment processes were plagued by corruption and interference. He said his government had promised to take strict action against those involved in irregularities and had delivered on that commitment.

Chief Minister also announced that one lakh more young people would receive government appointment letters within the next six months.

Yogi further directed recruitment boards to reduce the time taken to complete recruitment. He said that examinations in the state are now being conducted within 14 days, with results declared within another 14 days, allowing the entire process to be completed in less than a month.

He said examinations should be conducted to assess candidates' abilities rather than to put unnecessary pressure on students.
