A 25-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death in Haryana's Bhiwani district following a dispute linked to a love affair. The incident took place late Tuesday night in the Line Par area near City Station, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Ravindra. According to police, Ravindra had been in contact with a young woman named Anjali, which reportedly angered her brothers, Ravi and Manish. Despite repeated warnings from the duo to stop communicating with her, Ravindra allegedly continued the interaction.
Police said that between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday night, Ravi and Manish, accompanied by around 10 to 12 associates, arrived at the spot in cars and motorcycles. The group allegedly attacked Ravindra with sticks and batons, leaving him critically injured.
Ravindra was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Bhiwani, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Two other youths, identified as Ajay and Anil, were also injured in the assault.
Following information about the clash, ERV-138 police personnel reached the scene and shifted the injured to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from an ongoing personal dispute over Ravindra's communication with Anjali.
Police have arrested the two main accused, Ravi and Manish, and further investigation is underway. Authorities are also working to identify and apprehend the other individuals involved in the attack.
