Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that Sant Guru Ravidas ji gave the message of eliminating all kinds of discrimination from society more than 500 years ago and worked to unite the society. He was a staunch opponent of blind faith and ostentation. He said that the government is working to bring the life philosophy and teachings of great saints to every household. A grand Samarak of Sant Guru Ravidas will be built on five acres of land in Kurukshetra, which will cost crores of rupees. This will inspire the younger generation.

The Deputy Chief Minister participated as the Chief Guest and addressed the Sant Ravidas Jayanti celebrations organised at the Guru Ravidas temple complex in the town of Bawani Khera in Bhiwani district on Saturday.

He said that Sant Guru Ravidas was a great saint who gave the message of ending all kinds of discrimination in society throughout his life. He said that the government is committed to the welfare of the poor. Along with implementing welfare policies, the government has made a provision of Rs 200 crore in the budget for the renovation of SC and BC Chaupals.

He said that digital libraries are being opened in villages for the ease of students. Acting on the proposals received from the villages, about 1500 libraries have been opened in the state. As a result, the children of the villages are preparing for competitive examinations at their homes and they no longer need to go to the city. Through libraries, the children of the villages are reaching high positions. He said that there is no progress without education. He asked the temple committee to prepare an estimate for upgrading the library running in the temple complex and send it so that it can be implemented.
