The AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang, on Friday, raised important issues related to the health sector in the parliament. The AAP MP demanded PGI like medical college and hospital for his constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib. He also asked the Modi government to release Punjab's pending funds of NHM as soon as possible.

Addressing in the parliament, Kang said that our sector needs special attention and the govt needs to take revolutionary steps to improve this sector. Giving examples of the Mann govt in Punjab, Kang said that in Punjab the AAP govt is running schemes like Farishtey where a person is awarded for helping the people in road accidents and a unique initiative like SSF where specially equipped police vehicles are given and trained police force is formed to help the people in road accidents on highways. Kang further said that the Mann govt has opened 829 Aam Aadmi clinics in Punjab where 1.75 crore people have been treated so far and more than 40 tests are free there, so the early diagnosis of many diseases have become possible.
