Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a protest in Ludhiana on Wednesday against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raid at the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office.

During the protest, AAP leaders and workers surrounded the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office in Dugri, leading to a confrontation with police personnel deployed at the spot.

Police had put up barricades to prevent the protesters from moving towards the BJP office. However, AAP workers repeatedly tried to cross the barricades, resulting in pushing and shoving between the protesters and police.

As part of the protest, AAP workers also burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The protesters raised slogans against the CBI action and continued attempting to move forward despite the police barricading.

The demonstration was held amid a political row over the CBI's action at the Punjab Chief Minister's Office. Police maintained security arrangements at the site to prevent the situation from escalating.
