Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Neel Garg has strongly criticised the Central Government over the removal of the film Satluj from the OTT platform ZEE5, demanding that it be released without delay.

Addressing the media in Bathinda, Garg questioned the government's intent, alleging that attempts were being made to suppress Punjab's history. He said that while films such as The Kashmir Files and The Kerala Story were promoted, efforts were being made to prevent audiences from watching a film portraying Punjab's past.

Garg said Satluj, based on the struggle of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, depicts the alleged atrocities committed against Punjab's youth during the 1980s and 1990s under the then Congress government. He argued that restricting such films reflects a fear of confronting historical events.

The AAP leader urged the government to allow the film's immediate release, saying that people have the right to know and understand their history.
