1355 teams comprising 6582 police personnel conducted raids in the state

490 cases filed and 683 accused arrested during the raids

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that a major crackdown by the Haryana Police against criminals and illegal activities. He revealed that 1355 teams, consisting of 6582 police personnel, conducted raids across the state. During these operations, the police filed 490 cases under relevant sections of the IPC, NDPS, Excise, and Arms Act, leading to the successful arrest of 683 accused.
Vij disclosed that during the raids, 22 FIRs were registered under the Arms Act. The police seized 9 pistols, 2 revolvers, 9 country-made firearms, 5 country-made pistols, and 31 cartridges. Seven individuals were arrested in connection with these cases. Additionally, 3.504 kg of ganja, 18.75 grams of heroin, 20 grams of smack, and 705 grams of charas were confiscated. The teams also seized 600 prohibited narcotic capsules/injections during the operation, resulting in the arrest of 9 accused throughout the state.
He highlighted that the teams, during the campaign, apprehended 10 wanted criminals and one notorious criminal while successfully capturing 1 cyber offender, 53 proclaimed offenders, and 66 bail jumpers. These criminals were involved in various cases and were attempting to evade arrest.
Furthermore, in this special drive, the police successfully seized 155 bottles of English liquor, 3780 bottles of country liquor, 126 beer bottles, 298 liters of illicit liquor, 970 liters of legal liquor, and 1282 liters of lahan. The campaign effectively targeted bootleggers. Under the Gambling Act, the police also recovered Rs.280,254 in cash from the arrested persons. Additionally, 242 vehicles violating traffic rules were fined during the campaign.
