12,882 widowers and 2,026 unmarried people will get pension from the month of December itself.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has set a new example of service and respect before the society by taking a unique initiative of providing monthly financial assistance to widowers and unmarried men and women. Under this scheme, so far 12,882 widowers and 2,026 unmarried people have been identified in the state. They will start receiving pension from December 2023.
He said that our government has also decided to provide social security pension to widowers and unmarried people and for this pension, widowers of 40 years of age with annual income less than Rs 3 lakh and those of 45 years of age with annual income less than Rs 1.80 lakh are eligible. Unmarried (male and female) are eligible.
He said that after completing the age of 60 years, the beneficiaries of the above two categories will be converted into the Old Age Samman Allowance scheme as per their eligibility for Old Age Samman Allowance.
