CM Nayab Singh Saini on Monday digitally transferred Rs 368 crore directly into the bank accounts of the farmers. Addressing a press conference held here today on the occasion of the successful completion of 100 days of the government’s third term, the Chief Minister said that farmers' interests have always remained the utmost priority of the state government. Earlier, the government had provided a bonus of Rs. 2,000 per acre for agricultural and horticultural crops affected by adverse weather conditions during the Kharif-2024 season. A total amount of Rs. 1,345 crores has been provided to farmers so far, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the welfare of farmers is at the core of our policies. We are implementing new policies to enhance farmers' prosperity and make agriculture more profitable. He said that in the first session of the third term of the Vidhan Sabha, three significant steps were taken to empower farmers. Trust has been restored between tenant farmers and landowners, he said.
Saini said that earlier, disputes over land possession and compensation between landowners and tenants were common. Now, with the implementation of the Haryana Lease of Agricultural Land Act, 2024, these disputes have been eliminated completely.
