Chief Minister arrived outside the railway station, gave Rs 2.5 lakh for food of the people shifted to the night shelter

Haryana Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal, on Saturday night, made an unexpected visit outside Karnal Railway Station. Witnessing people in distress due to the cold, he promptly instructed their relocation to a night shelter. He took them to the night shelter through his own security vehicles.

Throughout this period, the Chief Minister remained on-site, expressing that he had received information about individuals enduring the extreme cold outside the railway station. Taking immediate action, he personally assessed the situation and observed a significant number of people outdoors. Subsequently, he swiftly arranged for their transfer to a night shelter. Directives were issued to the Deputy Commissioner to ensure accommodation and food arrangements in the night shelters. Considering the festival of Lohri, he directed the provision of peanuts and other food items. The Chief Minister announced a contribution of Rs 2.5 lakh to facilitate food arrangements for these individuals. These people will go to their respective work during the day and will stay in night shelters at night. He emphasized the collective responsibility of society to extend a helping hand to those in need

 During this, top officials of the district administration were present. Following the orders of the Chief Minister, these people were shifted to the night shelter in Ram Nagar. The Chief Minister's security vehicle was engaged in this work. On this occasion, District President Yogendra Rana, Chief Minister's representative Sanjay Bathla, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, Senior Deputy Mayor Rajesh Aggie, DC Anish Yadav, SP Shashank Kumar Sawan, Corporation Commissioner Abhishek Meena, ADC Dr. Vaishali Sharma were present.
