In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested six more suspected terror operatives from Delhi and Punjab, dealing a significant blow to an alleged cross-border network.
According to investigating agencies, all the arrested suspects are believed to be linked to a module operated by Pakistan-based gangster and alleged ISI agent Shahzad Bhatti. Officials said the crackdown led to the exposure of two separate modules functioning within the network.
Police said one of the modules was involved in terrorist activities, while the other was allegedly engaged in the illegal trafficking of firearms. During the operation, the Special Cell recovered several pistols and petrol bombs from the accused.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the members of the module were conspiring to carry out criminal and terror-related activities in the country. Authorities are now interrogating the arrested suspects to gather information about the network's structure, funding sources, weapons supply chain, and any planned attacks.
Investigators are also trying to identify other individuals associated with the module and determine its potential targets. Police said the investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are likely based on the information obtained during questioning.
