The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Haryana is undertaking several initiatives to encourage the use of new techniques in farming through the use of drones in Haryana. In this direction, the department has invited online applications for free drone training in the second phase.
Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson of the department said that free drone operation training is being provided to farmers and youths.
The spokesperson said that youths who have passed the 10th standard, aged between 18 and 45 years, and are members of the CSC or FPO, are eligible to apply. The spokesperson said that Prime Minister new reforms in farming will increase investment in the agriculture sector. Farmers will have access to modern technology, and their products will easily reach international markets.
The spokesperson further stated that the selection of beneficiaries will be done through the selection process determined by the District Executive Committee formed under the chairmanship of the respective Deputy Commissioner. The last date for online applications is February 19, 2024.
