The Indian Boxing Federation has nominated DSP Charanjit Singh Virk, DSP of Chandigarh and General Secretary of Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association, as observer for the Olympic Games being held in Paris, France. The Olympics are being held in Paris, France from 26 July 2024 to 10 August 2024. DSP Charanjit Singh is a former international boxer. DSP Virk has been serving as the General Secretary of Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association since September 2023.

DSP Charanjit Singh Virk was a former boxer of SD College, Chandigarh from 1984 to 1987. During this time he also led the Punjab University boxing team as captain. This team won the All India Inter-University Boxing Championship twice under his leadership and has also won many medals in national games.
