Cabinet Minister held discussions with officials of the Horticulture Department regarding potato seeds

Punjab Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat today conducted a review meeting with officials regarding the ongoing work of the Horticulture Department and various schemes. He emphasized that the farmers of the state should gain maximum benefits by adopting horticulture profession.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on potato seeds with Special Chief Secretary of Horticulture, Mr. Anurag Verma and Director, Mrs. Shailender Kaur. On this occasion, plans were also made to promote potato cultivation in Punjab, alongside vegetable cultivation. In addition, new projects from the Government of India in the field of horticulture profession were discussed. Information was shared about strengthening various institutions under the department.
The Horticulture Minister stated that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously working towards making the state's farmers more prosperous and improving their economic conditions. He highlighted that efforts are being made to encourage farmers to shift from traditional wheat and paddy crops to horticulture profession.
