Arrested accused is key associate of mastermind Sunil Bhandari : DGP

Counter Intelligence (CI) Bathinda in a joint operation with Sri Muktsar Sahib Police apprehended one more key accused identified as Lovejeet Singh alias Labha of Sri Muktsar Sahib for his involvement in Ferozepur Triple Murder case, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Saturday.
The development came close on the heels of Anti-Gangster Task Force arresting five persons, including the mastermind Sunil Bhandari alias Nata, who orchestrated the three recent killings took place in Ferozepur on July 31, 2024.
DGP said that accused Lovejeet Singh, who is the main associate of Gangster Sunil Bhandari alias Nata, harboured him and his associates after the murder. Police teams have also recovered two pistols— including one .30 bore pistol and one .32 bore pistol— along with four live cartridges from the possession of arrested accused Lovjeet Labha, he added.
The DGP said that police teams have carried out the investigation in a professional and scientific manner to solve the case. Further investigations are on to establish backward and forward linkages in the this case, he said.
