On the occasion of the International Geeta Mahotsav organized in Kurukshetra, Haryana, Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj said that the knowledge of Geeta paves the way for a happy life of every living being and especially the knowledge of Geeta is very useful for the students. Students should read Geeta regularly and adopt its teachings in their life.

Geeta Manishi Swami Gyan Anand Maharaj was addressing the inauguration ceremony of state level competitions based on Geeta organized by the Education Department at the Government Model Culture School, Kurukshetra today on the occasion of International Geeta Mahotsav. He said that if you understand the meaning of Geeta during your student days, it will be useful at every step in your life. The art of living will come. There will be no disappointment in the face of obstacles and difficult circumstances. In Geeta, God has given the universal solution to all the problems arising in human life, hence students should study and meditate on Geeta regularly.

On this occasion, the students not only recited the verses of Geeta correctly but also sang them in a rhythmic manner. Like Sanskrit scholars, the children recited selected verses of Geeta in a better manner. He said that the way the students are enthusiastically participating in the competitions based on Geeta is very pleasant in itself. The way the students have recited the verses of Geeta is praiseworthy. He told that under the state level competitions, Gita Shlokocharan, Dialogue, Gita Essay Writing, Speech (Declaration) and Painting competitions for classes 6 to 8 were organized on 19th December, while all the competitions of classes 9 to 12 will be organized on 20th December. And prizes will be distributed to the winners on 21st December. He said that the team coming first in the competitions will be given a cash prize of Rs 5100, the team securing second position will be given Rs 3100, the team securing third position will be given Rs 2100 and the team securing consolation prize will be given Rs 1000.
