The Punjab Govt has released a significant grant of Rs 68.95CR for the payment of honorariums to Anganwadi workers and helpers across the state. Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur announced the release of this grant, emphasizing that the welfare of Anganwadi workers and helpers remains a top priority for the Punjab Govt.

“While we are dedicated to addressing the needs of various segments of society, the welfare of Anganwadi workers and helpers is particularly close to our hearts. 

The funds will cover the honorariums for the months from July 2024 to October 2024. The grant will be distributed across various districts as follows: 4.81CR to the District Program Officer, Amritsar, 3.56CR to Bathinda, 1.65CR to Barnala, 1.80CR to Fatehgarh Sahib,1.40CR to Faridkot,3.21CR to Ferozepur, and 2.74CR to Fazilka. Similarly, 5.14CR to Gurdaspur, 4.82CR to Hoshiarpur, 4.10CR to Jalandhar,  2.26CR to Kapurthala, 5.97CR to Ludhiana, 2.28CR to Sri Muktsar Sahib, 2.47CR to Moga, 2.14CR to Mansa, 2.14CR to Pathankot, 4.69CR to Patiala, 2.22CR to Rupnagar, 1.63CR to SAS Nagar, 5.01CR to Sangrur and Malerkotla, 1.97CR to SBS Nagar and 2.86CR to TarnTaran.
