Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini attended a religious congregation held on the death anniversary of Sant Balwant Singh at a gurdwara in Rodewal village of Patiala on Tuesday.

Saini paid obeisance at the gurdwara and offered floral tributes to Sant Balwant Singh. Addressing the gathering, he said he felt fortunate to have received the opportunity to visit the shrine and draw inspiration from the saint’s exemplary life.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the lives of saints and spiritual leaders continue to guide society on the path of righteousness and inspire people to uphold moral values.

Speaking to the media after paying his respects, Saini also addressed ongoing political discussions surrounding religious sentiments. He asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not engage in low-level politics by playing with people’s faith, trust, and emotions in the name of revered Gurus.

He said the BJP has always respected the Guru tradition and cannot even imagine insulting spiritual leaders. Saini appealed to all concerned not to make a mockery of the issue and to maintain the dignity and sanctity associated with religious beliefs.
