Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini today inaugurated a Craft Exhibition organized at Kisan Bhawan, Sector-35, Chandigarh.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said handicrafts men will play an important role in Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's vision of making India a developed nation by the year 2047. For this, the Central Government has launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, under which traditional artisans and craftsmen are being provided assistance by the government to enhance their products and services. Skill training is also being given to artisans. He said the Haryana Government is taking forward the vision of the Prime Minister and is providing all kinds of facilities to craftsmen in the state.
Saini said the exhibition organized by Craftroots Sansthan has provided an excellent platform to artisans to showcase their art. The institution has imparted skill training to about 75,000 youth and women and made them skilled in various fields. He said India is a country of diversity where every province, every region and every community has its own unique art and craft tradition.
