The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Haryana today. During various programs held across the state, the Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij and other State Cabinet Ministers unfurled the National flag at R-Day functions organised at various places.
During this, they paid rich tributes to freedom fighters and martyrs of Kargil. In addition, the Ministers also honoured officers, employees, athletes, school children, and officials of social-religious organizations who have excelled in various fields. On this occasion, students added colour to the celebration with dance and other cultural presentations.
Haryana has touched new heights of development, Deputy Chief Minister

Deputy Chief Minister unfurled the flag at the Republic Day program held at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Sirsa. Addressed the gathering on this occasion, he said that the Haryana government has established new dimensions in social and economic development. Achievements have been made in the education, health, and sports sectors, and many states in the country are now following our policies and schemes, said Chautala.
He said that acknowledging the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs the state government has increased the amount of financial aid for the families of Haryana's soldiers and paramilitary forces martyred during the war, both in general and during the IED blast, raising the amount from Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh. Additionally, jobs have been provided to 367 dependents of martyrs on compassionate ground, informed the Deputy Chief Minister.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta unfurled the National Flag at the Republic Day celebration held at Parade Ground, Sector-5, Panchkula. Speaking on the occasion he said that the present government, with a commitment to 'Sushasan Se Saashan’ (Service with Good Governance), has continuously worked for the progress and upliftment of all Haryanvis and the entire state. Operating on the principles of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas' and 'Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek', the present state government has undertaken consistent efforts for the growth and development of every individual in Haryana. The year 2024 is being celebrated as the 'Sankalp se Parinam Varsh', said Gupta.
He said that 74 years ago, on this day in 1950, our Constitution came into effect, providing us all with the rights of equal justice, freedom, and equality. This historic day inspires the citizens to move forward towards building a strong nation. On this day, we also remember the great personalities who played a crucial role in obtaining independence for India and implementing the Indian Constitution, said the Speaker.
Gian Chand Gupta also expressed gratitude to the great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, who fought diligently for the freedom of the country.

A new sun rises on India's Republic Day, Home Minister
Home and Health Minister Anil Vij unfurled the flag at the Tejli Stadium in Yamunanagar. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, he emphasized the significance of Republic Day, marking the day when India, the world's largest democracy, gained the honour of being a republic 74 years ago. He praised Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's visionary leadership and said that under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the Nation is progressing steadfastly towards realizing its dreams for India. People's hopes and aspirations are turning into reality, said Vij.

Dream of educating poor children in private schools realized, Kanwar Pal
The School Education Minister Kanwar Pal unfurled the National Flag at a function held at the Police Lines premises in Ambala city. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the present state government has implemented the 'Chirag Yojana' to fulfill the dream of educating the children of the poor in private schools. Moreover, priority is being given to recruiting youth from Antyodaya families for government jobs through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. The government has brought revolutionary changes through e-governance in various sectors like agriculture, industry, business, employment, education, and health, said the Minister.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Haryana is the first state in the country to initiate the Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana to safeguard horticultural crops from weather-related losses.

Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta unfurled the flag at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the present state government has given a boost to online systems in governance based on good governance. Through the PPP and Property ID, people are now able to perform various tasks from the comfort of their homes. Haryana is the first state where 72 lakh PPP cards have been made and mapping of 47.50 lakh properties have been done, said Dr. Kamal Gupta.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development Kamlesh Dhanda unfurled the flag at a ceremony in Kurukshetra. Speaking on the occasion, she said that with Republic Day comes a long history of sacrifice, dedication, and sacrifice of patriots, freedom fighters, and revolutionaries. Haryana government has provided jobs to 1.10 lakh youth, Anoop Dhanak

Minister of State for Labour Anoop Dhanak unfurled the flag at an event in Jhajjar. Speaking on the occasion he said that the Haryana government has provided jobs to more than 1.10 lakh youth based on their qualifications. The Kaushal Rozgar Nigam has been established to protect youth from exploitation by contractors in outsourcing services. The government is working for the welfare of women, sports, education, employment, and the poor, said the Minister.

The Minister of State for Printing and Stationery Sandeep Singh unfurled the flag at an event held at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium in Palwal. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Haryana is making a special identity in the world of sports. Whether it is the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, or any other sports event, 50 percent of the medals for the country are won by Haryana athletes. The remaining 50 percent contribution comes from athletes from other states in the country, he said.
