The Haryana Govt has announced the public holidays for 2025, which apply to all public offices under the State Government. According to the notification issued by CS Dr. Vivek Joshi, the State Govt has notified certain dates in the 2025 calendar as Special Days. However, these will not be designated as public holidays.The notification states that all Saturdays and Sundays will be observed as holidays throughout the year.
The list of Public Holidays include Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Jayanti on 6 January, Guru Ravidas Jayanti on 12 February, Maha Shivratri on 26 February, Holi on 14 March, Id-ul-Fitr on 31 March, Mahavir Jayanti on 10 April, Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April, Parshuram Jayanti on 29 April, Akshya Tritya on 30 April, Maharana Pratap Jayanti on 29 May, Sant Kabir Jayanti on 11 June, Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Day on 31 July, Independence Day on 15 August, Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti on 22 September, Shaheedi Divas/Haryana War Heroes’ Martyrdom Day on 23 September, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra on 2 October, Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti/Maharaja Ajmidh Jayanti on 7 October, Diwali on 20 October, Vishvakarma Day on 22 October, Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti on 5 November and Christmas on 25 December.
