Haryana Government has announced a major recruitment drive for aspiring candidates waiting to join the Indian Army under the Agnipath scheme. Four-phase Army recruitment rallies will begin across the state from July 20, with the selection process scheduled to continue from July 2026 to March 2027.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the State-Level Steering Committee chaired by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, who reviewed preparations for the recruitment campaign. He said Haryana has always made a significant contribution to the country's armed forces and stressed that no candidate should face inconvenience during the recruitment process.
Rastogi directed all Deputy Commissioners to personally monitor preparations and ensure that all logistical arrangements are completed well in advance. He also instructed that a nodal officer be appointed in every district to facilitate coordination between the Indian Army and the district administration.
To encourage more youth to consider careers in the armed forces, the government has proposed setting up special "Know Your Armed Forces" corners in government schools.
These information centres will provide details about military careers, recruitment procedures, and opportunities in the armed forces. The display material for these corners will be prepared by the Zonal Recruitment Office.
Additionally, the state government has directed the Department of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare to develop a dedicated digital portal for Agniveers, aimed at providing information and support services for recruits.
