Himachal : State Govt committed for overall development of the State: Vikramaditya Singh

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said here today that the state government is working with commitment for the overall development of the state. He said that continuous efforts are being made to ensure inclusive development of every sector.

Vikramaditya Singh said that for strengthening the road network in the state, 2000 kilometers roads would be upgraded by the Public Works Department under PMGSY-3 scheme. 679 kilometers of roads would be constructed under FDR and 468 kilometers under CTB and other roads would be constructed with traditional technology. The State will prepare DPRs under PMGSY-4 for 900 kilometers length already constructed under PMGSY-1.

He said that in the year 2025-26, the tarring work will be started on 625 km of new roads, out of which 425 km roads will be tarred under NABARD and 200 km roads under SCDP, Rural Road and MMGSY.

The Public Works Minister said that the construction of 500 new roads would be started in the state in 2025-26, out of which 300 km road will be constructed under NABARD and 200 km roads under Special Core Development Program, Rural Road and Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
