Holds budget priority meeting with MLA's from Shimla and Mandi districts

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today presided over the second day of MLA priority meetings and held a discussion over the developmental priorities with MLA's from Shimla and Mandi districts. He urged MLA's to provide suggestions aligned with future challenges to ensure that the state become self-reliance. He said that MLAs play a key role in regional development and have strong grassroots representation. He assured that their proposals would be prioritized in the state budget.
Sh. Sukhu said that education and healthcare remains the core focus areas of the present government. Over the past two years substantial measures have been undertaken to enhance these sectors and the government was working for the further development of these sectors. He said that the previous government only prioritized the opening of new institutions for political gains without providing adequate facilities, which has led to a decline in service quality. In contrast, the present government was actively modernizing the healthcare sector by integrating advanced technology and addressing staff shortages through ongoing recruitment drives. He said that these initiatives would definitely yield positive outcomes in the near future.
