The Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), an autonomous institution under the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, has released a recruitment notification for multiple technical and academic positions.

A total of eight vacancies are available for the posts of Scientist-C, Junior Engineer-C, and Library Assistant-C. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications until August 4, 2026 (11:59 PM).

According to the notification, the recruitment includes five Scientist-C posts, two Junior Engineer-C posts, and one Library Assistant-C post.

For the Scientist-C position, applicants must hold an M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics with at least 60% marks from Class 10 onwards. The maximum age limit is 26 years.

Candidates applying for the Junior Engineer-C post must possess a Diploma in Electronics with at least 60% marks in Class 10. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience and computer knowledge. The upper age limit is 30 years.

For the Library Assistant-C post, applicants should have a B.Sc. degree along with a Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib.) and a minimum of four years' experience in a computerized library. The maximum age limit for this post is 34 years.

Selected candidates will receive salaries under the 7th Pay Commission. The Scientist-C post falls under Pay Level-10, offering a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. Both the Junior Engineer-C and Library Assistant-C posts are under Pay Level-6, with salaries between ₹35,400 and ₹1,12,400 per month.

The selection process will vary by post. Scientist-C candidates will undergo a written examination followed by an interview.

For Junior Engineer-C and Library Assistant-C, candidates will be shortlisted through a written test, followed by a skill or trade test. The final merit list will be prepared based on candidates' overall performance.

Applicants are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
