Punjab Newsline, Bathinda, January 3 –
Providing clarification on the scheduled program in Kotshamir village, S. Khushbaaz Singh Jattana, the District Congress Committee President of Bathinda Rural, issued a statement today. He highlighted that the organizer of the event, Harwinder Singh Laddi, is not only unaffiliated with the Punjab Congress but was expelled from the party last year for his non-participation and lack of cooperation during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Jattana emphasized that the program orchestrated by Laddi is solely a personal event and it does not carry the official endorsement of the Punjab Congress and should be perceived as an independent endeavor. He further appealed the party leadership and workers to not involve themselves in such events which add to the confusion amongst the party cadre.
The DCC President underscored the need to discern between individual actions and the sanctioned activities of the party. He reiterated the party's commitment to maintaining discipline and adherence to its core values, urging members to align their actions with the overall objectives of the Congress party.
Jattana said that maintaining discipline amongst party workers and leaders is of utmost importance. Any attempts made by previously expelled leaders to realign themselves with the party must not be welcomed as it devalues any disciplinary actions of the past. Jattana expressed confidence in the internal mechanisms of the party to address such matters effectively. He urged the media to focus on the positive initiatives and contributions of the Congress party in serving the public.
