Urges Panchayat to ensure proper utilization of funds

Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, on Saturday, distributed grant worth around Rs.2.5 crore to 48 new panchayats of Bhoa assembly constituency for various development works and basic infrastructure facilities.
While addressing the gathering of Sarpanches and Panches during the function held at village Kataruchak, the Cabinet Minister said that CM Bhagwant Singh Mann led government is leaving no stone unturned for the state's development and maximum grants are being given for the village development, adding that today, the Mann government has distributed funds worth around Rs.2.5 crore for developing basic amenities in villages.
Answering the queries of media persons, Kataruchak said that since taking power in 2022, the Mann government has prioritized village development works and is continuously providing grants to villages. He said that the distributed amount of Rs.2.47 crore will be used for various development works of villages such as construction of community halls, drainage systems, sewerage, installation of solar lights, deep bore wells, liquid and solid waste management, smart village initiatives, construction of playgrounds and development of ponds and water bodies.
