Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, December 9:
The Haryana Tourism Corporation has made a remarkable contribution to the ongoing Gita Mahotsav by opening two blocks of the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra to visitors. Located at Jyotisar, the sacred site where Lord Krishna is believed to have delivered the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna, the center offers a profound and immersive experience of the epic Mahabharata. Despite only two out of five blocks being operational, the center has already drawn over 7,000 visitors in the past five days, marking it as a resounding success during the Mahotsav celebrations.
The Jyotisar Anubhav Kendra, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on February 16, 2024, features six themed buildings designed to present various facets of the Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita. Developed to promote Kurukshetra as Gita Bhoomi and attract tourists from across India under Haryana’s tourism initiatives, the center leverages cutting-edge technology such as 3D mapping, holography, and interactive displays to bring the epic Mahabharata vividly to life. The captivating storytelling, combined with cutting-edge visuals, has particularly resonated with school students, who expressed excitement at the engaging and innovative presentation.
