Mahatma Gandhi's statue vandalised in Italy, PM Modi was to inaugurate the statue

A case of Mahatma Gandhi's statue being vandalised has come to light in Italy. On the other hand, Khalistan supporters are being accused of vandalising the statue. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also visiting Italy. The vandals also wrote the name of the deceased Hardeep Singh Nijjar below it. However, officials say that after getting information about the matter, the name written on the statue has been erased.

According to the information, the Ministry of External Affairs has also commented on this incident. Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra says that a complaint has been made by the Italian government officials in this matter. It is being told that this incident took place in Brindisi, the southern region of Italy. It should also be kept in mind that the G7 summit is being held in Italy from 13 to 15 June and PM Modi is leaving for Italy from India tomorrow on 13 June to attend the G7 meeting.
