CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh district court has awarded 3-year jail to a Kharar resident for possessing a banned drugs.

The court of additional district and sessions judge Ashwani Kumar Mehta convicted Harinder Singh, 35, under Section 22 of the NDPS Act. Harinder was arrested in june last year for possessing six vials of a banned substance, buprenorphine,which is considered a habit-forming drug.
