Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal, on Monday, said that CM Bhagwant Singh Mann led government is fulfilling Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar's vision through unprecedented representation and reforms. For the first time in history, Mann government has appointed six Ministers from the Scheduled Caste community to the Cabinet, implemented reservation in the Advocate General's office and established a seamless system for SC scholarship disbursement.
While addressing a function dedicated to Dr. Ambedkar's 134th birth anniversary at Guru Nanak College, Budhlada, Goyal informed that government, following Dr. Ambedkar's footsteps, is providing scholarships, assistance under Ashirwad Scheme, assistance for self-employment and a large number of government jobs without any recommendations or other mean, enabling qualified and capable children from society to secure employment.
Goyal said that Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar illuminated the lives of people while himself living through hardships.
