Massive fire in Kuwait building, 41 people dead

A fire broke out in a building housing migrant workers in southern Kuwait, killing at least 41 people and injuring dozens. According to information received from officials, the fire broke out in the city of Mangaf at 6 o'clock.

A government TV has given a statement quoting news agency Reuters that the building in which the fire broke out had accommodation for workers and there were a large number of workers there. Dozens of people were rescued, but unfortunately many people died due to the smoke from the fire. On the other hand, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has expressed condolences to the families of the victims. He said that deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives tragically. I wish the injured a speedy and complete recovery. He said that our embassy will provide full assistance to all concerned in this regard. Officials said that they are investigating the cause of the fire.
