A Nagar Kirtan will be organised in Chandigarh on October 24 ahead of the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, which will be observed on October 27.
The decision was taken during a general house meeting of the Chandigarh Group Gurdwara Management Association (Regd.) held on September 18 at Gurdwara Patshahi Dasvin in Sector 8. The meeting was chaired by Bhai Singh Ji.
During the meeting, members discussed various programs and arrangements for the upcoming Prakash Purab celebrations. It was decided that the Nagar Kirtan would start from Gurdwara Sahib in Sector 8 and pass through various parts of Chandigarh before concluding at Gurdwara Sahib in Sector 22.
The members also discussed preparations and other arrangements required for the smooth conduct of the Nagar Kirtan.
In another key decision, the general house unanimously reappointed Jathedar Bhai Singh as Chairman and Sardar Raghbir Singh Ramgarh as Secretary General of the Chandigarh Group Gurdwara Management Association for another three-year term.
The house also authorised the two office-bearers to constitute the executive committee within one month.
