Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, August 18-
In line with CM Bhagwant Mann’s vision to enhance road safety and emergency care in the state, the Traffic and Road Safety Wing of Punjab Police, in collaboration with the State Health Agency (SHA) and Map My India, has made Hospitals, empanelled under Farishtey Scheme, searchable on the Mappls Mobile App, said Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav here on Sunday.
He said that this initiative aims to offer seamless navigation assistance, allowing users to locate and reach nearby hospitals quickly, especially in the event of road accidents.
Notably, the Punjab Government had launched this ambitious Farishtey Scheme with the intent of lowering the morbidity rates resulting from injuries sustained in road accidents and providing immediate, hassle-free treatment in the available Government/empanelled private hospitals.
As of now, the Farishtey Scheme has successfully registered 384 hospitals across Punjab, including 238 private and 146 state hospitals. These hospitals, having completed the Punjab Farishtey Scheme Apply Online 2024 process, are now accessible on the Mappls Mobile App.
